Corrugated board is very suitable for the roof or ceiling of garden house, shop or terrace, and it is easy to install. You can do it yourself, just prepare some basic tools and materials in advance.
Cut the corrugated plate according to the size. Most of the corrugated plates are close to 10 meters in length. If you need to lap into a whole plate, then at least 50 cm lap length should be reserved.
Cutting tools:
Angle grinder: the fastest efficiency. You need to wear protective masks and earplugs. Cut edges shall be painted or undercoated to prevent rusting.
Disc saw: slower than angle grinder, but same requirement. With metal blade, the blade is easy to wear.
Blanking machine: as long as you can control the material and size of metal, the effect is very good.
Tin scissors: slow but safe. You need to wear labor protection gloves. The longer the sleeve, the better.
The wave crest of the corrugated plate is drilled in advance. Holes have been drilled in some corrugated plates. If not, you have to drill a few holes in advance. Use a 5mm drill bit. The spacing between holes at both ends and sides of the corrugated plate should be kept between 15 and 20 cm.
Install the corrugated plate. The corrugated plate is directly placed on the purlin of the roof truss and installed from the outside edge. Both ends are sealed with wooden or plastic strips. Prevent rain and wind from leaking into mosquitoes.
Fasten the corrugated plate with screws. Pre drill holes, use # 10x5.2cm screws and polycarbonate washer. Continue to install until the entire roof is completely covered with corrugated panels. The lap distance between plates should be at least 6 cm). Adjust the lap spacing to ensure that there is no need for additional cutting length when installing the last plate.
Install the other side of the roof. If you are installing a double roof (not a one-sided sloping roof), continue to install it on the other side of the roof, and cover it with a ridge cover during the installation of the roof panel.
