The cumulative imports from January to March were about 187,000 tons, down 27.8% year on year. Exports were about 294,000 tons, down 17.1% year on year.

On the one hand, due to the Lunar New Year holiday, China's shipments to the South Korean market declined, and the delayed shipment resources were concentrated in March. On the other hand, due to rising energy and raw material prices, the amount of imported stainless steel increased.

Among them, about 42,500 tons (49.5%) were imported from mainland China, up 83.9% month-on-month and down 7.5% year-on-year. Imports from Indonesia were about 21,700 tons (25.3%), up 906.4% month-on-month and 10,830% year-on-year.

From the data monitoring point of view, the increase in imports from mainland China and Indonesia is mainly caused by the increase in imports of coil plate, including cold and hot rolling imports have increased to varying degrees. At present, the cold rolled volume imported from Mainland China is about 18,000 tons (up 66%), and the hot rolled volume is about 11,000 tons (up 2.8 times). The cold rolled volume imported from Indonesia was about 70 thousand tons (0 in February), and the hot rolled volume was about 11 hundred thousand tons (up 4.4 times month-on-month).
